I would love nothing more than to tell on the occasion of her 40
th just how much Carolyn means to me. From traveling back from LA with me when I was broken-hearted (okay dumped) and not disclosing that she didn't drive stick until after accepting the invitation, to adding just a little zest to our wedding party in
Eleuthera, I could tell you that she's a been a rock.
Speaking of wedding, nice big hair!

And I learned from her never to miss an opportunity to smile for the camera!

And don't you usually need a limbo bar to assume that position on the
dance floor! (My father looks frighteningly entertained! My mother? Not so much...)

Fast forward to making me work really hard to get her to join our fabulous Development team by rejoining the MB work-force (I worked so hard I had to leave!) and to stealing my daughter's heart by establishing herself as a parent-God by helping Ellie perfect her "bend-and-snap" and revel in a perfect-bangs day.
Who could ask for more from a person?
Forgetaboutit, though. She's my husband's other woman - always has been - and they're not even hiding it. Look carefully - they started on our wedding day!

So there's no way I'm going to celebrate you, my friend. No matter how much your friendship enriches my life with laughter, advice, support and idle gossip.
No way.
Lucy
